Private Papuan
The single engine aircraft was engaged in the region of Kaitantu to evacuate wounded people. En route, the pilot encountered technical problems and elected to make an emergency landing in Benabena, near Goroka. All occupants survived while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

While landing on a private area, the single engine aircraft was caught by gusty winds. The right wing hit telephone wires and the aircraft cartwheeled and came to rest. The pilot was injured and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

Shortly after takeoff from the Westwood Airfield, the single engine aircraft collided with an Avro 504N registered G-AECR. Avro 504 landed safely but the Simmonds crashed in a wheat field, injuring his pilot who was taking part to a rally.
